I can imagine how frustrating this is for both of you. The people in line to replace Dilma are all flawed, If Dilma and Lula do get convicted of corruption, they will do very easy prison time because they are former heads of state. (It even happened here in the US with General/President Manuel Noriega of Panama.)
There is a saying in English that applies here:
"What is happening now has put the Fear of God into all Brasilian politicians."
All of them have the message that corruption is no longer "business as usual." All of them are going to be careful about what they do going forward. At the end of this awful dark tunnel there truly is some light.
